Diana Elizabeth Brown, 51, died peacefully in her home in De Borgia, Montana.

Diana was born and raised in Turlock, California attending Sacred Heart School, Turlock High School and then St. Mary’s College in Moraga, California.

From a young age it was obvious that Diana’s calling would be in education. She spent the last 24 years and half of her life as a teacher. In 1999, she started her career teaching 5th grade at Coleman Brown Elementary in Modesto, CA.

In 2001, she returned back to her hometown and began her tenure at Turlock Unified School District. She taught at Dennis Earl elementary for 5 years, and then after obtaining her Masters in Middle Level Education with an emphasis in language arts and history, transferred to Dutcher Middle School in 2006.

Diana loved her Dolphins. She spent the most of her years at Dutcher teaching 7th grade to many students, including some of her own family.

In 2017, due to illness, Diana missed her first day of school at Roselawn High. She was very excited to begin this new teaching assignment, and after 5 months, she was finally able to return to the classroom. 2 years later, she moved to Dayton, Nevada, continuing to teach and enjoying the great outdoors.

Diana’s first love was always horses, as a young girl she dreamed of owning one. Her dreams definitely came true, she owned multiple and eventually ran her own, “The Manestay” boarding and lessons, in Atwater, CA. Diana was never as happy, as when she was on the ranch, with her Broadway, or Pretty Boy.

Diana’s faith was deep, and everlasting. She was an active member of her parish, Sacred Heart in Turlock. SH Youth group is where she found most of her lifetime friends.

From 1990-91, she joined and traveled the country with the National Evangelization Team, a catholic youth missionary organization.

Diana loved to travel and more so loved to spread the word of God to others.

Upon returning home, she began working in Hilmar at Holy Rosary Church, while she continued her education and eventually moved to Moraga to attend St. Mary’s College.

Diana’s family will forever miss her beautiful smile, but we know she is now resting peacefully in the arms of her Lord.

Diana was preceded in death by her father, Paul S. Brown; her baby brother, Philip Brown; and sister, Debra Faria. She is survived by her mother, Dolores Brown of Turlock; her brothers, Paul E. Brown, Randall Brown (Lisa), Thomas Brown (Lani); her sisters, Jeanette Hatchell (Jason), Christine Louro (Martin), and numerous nieces, nephews and Godchildren.
