Doris E. Rodin, 90, of Hughson, CA, passed away on the afternoon of May 19, 2025. She was surrounded by her loved ones at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock.

Doris was born on October 13, 1934, in Kansas to Roy and Mamie Ehrlich. The family later moved to California, where they spent many years in Turlock. Doris attended Merritt Nursing School in Oakland and went on to have a fulfilling career as a registered nurse.

She married Perry Rodin, and together they shared a life in their Fremont home during their 52-year marriage. They raised two sons, Ronald and Jeffery Rodin, and cherished their many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Doris was known for her Christmas Eve cioppino, her love of knitting and gardening—especially her roses—and her loyal support of the San Francisco Giants and 49ers.

Doris is survived by her brother, Delbert Ehrlich; her sons, Ronald and Jeffery; her daughters-in-law, Monica and Barbara; Ron’s children: Mark, Jay, Stephanie, Alex, Ronald, and Tyler; Jeff’s children: Bret, Melissa, and Brian; and an extensive list of great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Perry; her sister, Dorothy Grindy; and her great-grandson, Alan Rodin.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
