After a long illness, Elaine Erickson entered heaven on April 14, 2017 at the age of 77.  She was born Lillie Elaine Baker in Modesto California, where she grew up and worked on the family farm.  She was the youngest among five sisters and a brother.  Elaine and her family were active members of Turlock Bethel Temple, where she and her sisters often blended their beautiful voices in songs of praise. 

In 1962 she married Bob Erickson and moved to Sacramento.  Elaine’s purpose in life was ministry to others, her husband, children, grandchildren, friends, as well as nieces and nephews who were blessed at times to be part of the Erickson household.  In her quiet way, she showed others what it means to be a true Christian, one with love, compassion and a willingness to serve wherever needed.

Elaine is survived by her husband Bob, her sister Enid Staats, her children MichelleTackitt (Kevin), Matthew, Lisa Borello (Tony), Robb Erickson (Bethany) and grandchildren Corban, Courtney, Bailey, Brittney, Blake, Gavin, Carter and Lily.

Elaine will be honored at a celebration service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2017, in the sanctuary at Capital Christian Center.  A reception will follow in the Activity Room.
