George “Gabby” Dellis, 81, passed away to be with the Lord on Wednesday. He was born in December 1930. He was known as a professional baseball player, cowboy, and veteran. He was a member of the RCA and a professional plumber for 30 years. Gabby had many passions in his life, and the greatest was spending time with his loving wife, family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Fern; his daughters, Ange and Diane; and his son, Greg. He also leaves behind his grandsons, Dustin and Bryce Wanlin of Fremont, Spencer Dellis of Ceres, and George and Jack Dellis of Crowslanding. He was loved by his son-in-law, Kenneth Wanlin; and daughter-in-law, Rita Dellis.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 31 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, with Rosary at 6 p.m. Mass will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 1 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Turlock.
