Jessie happily celebrated 100 years of life in June, but was then happy and ready to move on to her next adventure in January.

Born in Nebraska, she moved to Hilmar at age 5, where she resided until relocating to Washington 10 years ago to be nearer to her family.

Jessie was proud of the productive and interesting life she led:  successfully teaching school in Merced and Hilmar for 25 years, raising her family and enjoying world travel with her husband,  Arthur, who, preceded her in death in 1987.  She appreciated her Swedish heritage and was a 75 year member of Vasa Order of America, a Swedish American cultural organization, in which she met Arthur.

She will be tremendously missed by her family:  daughter and son-in-law, Jan and John Ohman of British Columbia, granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Julie and Drew Heimbigner of Washington and her great-grandchildren, Odin and Signe Heimbigner.

As education was important to Jessie, memorial contributions may be sent to:  Vasa Order of America College Scholarship Fund, c/o Yvonne Magniheim, 3813 Pasadena Ave. #35, Sacramento CA 95821.

A private service has been held.
