Jo Ann Ladd, 81, of Turlock, passed away at Emanuel Medical Center on Monday, Aug. 23. She was born in Overbrook, Kansas to Bernie and Rachel Skaggs. The family moved to Turlock in 1936, and Jo Ann completed her schooling at Turlock High School. She worked for 45 years in the banking industry. Most of her banking was with State Savings in Turlock where she became an operations supervisor. She loved to read and travel while her health allowed it, but in recent years she stayed close to home with her dogs, especially “Gidget,” her constant companion.
Jo Ann is survived by her daughter, Rachel Ladd of Turlock; sister, Mary Settle of Arizona; and nephews, Richard Walker of Washington and William Walker of Colorado.
