Joanna Delinski, 85, of Turlock, passed away at Turlock Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. Joanna was born in Valley Junction, Iowa to Vernon and Savilla Jones. The family moved to California and Joanna graduated from High School in San Bernardino in 1950. She met the love of her life on a blind date. She married Stanley Delinski in 1950 in San Bernardino and they lived in Southern California for several years where Stanley was in the Navy. Joanna was active in her church, teaching Sunday School and VBS. She enjoyed Tole Painting, Macramé, reading Christian literature, and helping others in need. Due to her husband’s health, the couple moved to Turlock in 2000. Stanley passed away in 2010 after 60 years of marriage.

Joanna was also preceded in death by her son Daniel Delinski and 2 sisters. She is survived by her daughter Connie Jackson of Turlock, sister Sheila LeBlanc, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will be held at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery on Tuesday, November 1st at 10:30 am where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Stanley. Viewing will be held at Allen Mortuary on Monday, October 31st from 3 to 5 pm. Memorial gifts are suggested for First Baptist Church of Turlock or Calvary Baptist Church of Fontana.
