Kenley passed away at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital on January 25th due to Kearns-Sayre Syndrome, a mitochondrial disease that caused an energy crisis to her body following a migraine. She was born in Modesto, CA and grew up in Turlock. She attended Turlock Junior High School and was in 8th grade. She was well loved in her community and surrounding communities. She always had a smile and a positive attitude despite living with a mitochondrial disorder. Kenley is survived by her parents Juan and SaBrina Montes, brother Rowan, grandparents Ken and Barbara Wilson, Jose and Marina Montes, Great grandma Barbara Wilson, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kenley was laid to rest at Turlock Memorial Park on Wednesday February 7th with a private family service. A Celebration of Life will be held on February 15th at New Life Church at 11am. A reception will follow at Larsa Hall.
