Mary Jane Wilson, nee Mary Jane Mitchell, returned to her Lord Jesus Christ on April 16, 2018. She was the loving mother of two sons, Robert and Steven Pira. Mary Jane was born August 5, 1933 in Chicago, IL to Ezra and Alice (Xenia) Mitchell. The eldest of three, she was a loving sister to Richard and Darlene. 

She married her eternal partner, Alan Frederick Wilson, in 1975. A Captain in the US Navy, they were moved three times - to Washington DC, New Orleans and finally to Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo, CA. The joy of their marriage was felt by everyone around them. Alan Wilson retired in 1985, whereupon they moved to Turlock and lived out the rest of their years together.

Mary Jane was an accomplished Executive Assistant to high level executives in several corporations. She was well-known as a competent organizer, advisor and manager in these positions. Her no-nonsense, systemic approach to her charges, as well as her instinctive ability to deal with difficult personalities, made her an invaluable partner to the executives she was assigned to.

Services will be held at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, April 24, at First Presbyterian Church, 2619 N. Berkeley Ave, Turlock. Interment will follow at Turlock Memorial Park. Donations in her honor are welcomed and can be made out to Community Hospice of Modesto, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA, 95356.
