Mary Jean Parton

Turlock

Mary Jean was a beloved wife for 56 years, and for the past three months, a Kaiser Hospice at home patient. She passed peacefully and without pain in her home, on Friday afternoon Nov. 25. She spent her last full day, Thursday at home with her husband Ralf, their sons Eric and Jason, her brother Kevin, their nephew Marc, and other friends happily sharing a joyful Thanksgiving Day dinner. Mary Jean was born in Buffalo, NY the first child of John & Frances Foley. She is survived by her brothers Jack, Kevin, and her sister Nan. She earned her Masters Degree in Elementary Education at MSU and taught kindergarten at the Cunningham school in Turlock, CA. She was a Buffalo gal, proud of her Irish heritage and a Democrat, and activist, and participated in many clubs and activities in Rossmoor. She especially loved her Tap dancing group, the Happy Hoofers and their many performing "gigs.'' She traveled with her husband to many parts of the world including most of the countries of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Mary Jean loved her Rossmoor Community and in the near future her husband and sons will be hosting a party there, so that her many friends can join in celebrating her life. For Party date and time contact Ralf at 925-256-7078.
