Graveside services for Mildred Woolard, 91, of Turlock, will be held at 11 a.m. on Sept. 10 at Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe, in Hughson. She died Sept. 5 at Avalon Care Center in Sonora.
Mildred moved to Turlock in 1971, when the filling of the Don Pedro dam flooded her home in the La Grange area. She was a great seamstress who enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and embroidering. She also loved to cook. Mildred was a member of the Fellowship Bible Chapel in Turlock, and she held Bible study groups when she lived in La Grange.
Mildred is survived by her daughters, Barbara Algeo of Sonora, Mary and her husband, Bob, Valponi of Sonora, Bonnie Delnero of Sonora, and Joyce and her husband, Bill, Crimmins of Jamestown; grandchildren, Dave Valponi, Mike Valponi, Linda Disney, Jim Algeo, Brenda Marine, Frank Graham, Mary Graham, and Brian Crimmins; 14 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, James Woolard; great grandson Justin Graham; and son-in-laws, Bill Graham, Dick Algeo and Paul Delnero.
