In Loving Memory.

Patricia “Gail” McSweeney passed away on September 30th, 2021, at the age of 77, in her home in Long Beach, California.  She was born in Oakland, California as the second child to Eugene and Betty McSweeney. 

Gail was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Betty and her older brother Terry McSweeney.  Gail is survived by her two younger brothers, Mike and Patrick McSweeney, her three children Donna Hatton, Heidi Staples, and Chad Hatton.  Her five grandchildren- Brent and Ryan Kirkland, Brandon Durazo, Ella, and Ace Hatton, and her two great-grandchildren Parker and Emory Kirkland.  

Gail graduated from Hilmar High School in 1961, where she was a cheerleader.  In her 30’s, Gail started to play volleyball, tennis, and softball.  Softball became a family sport that she enjoyed with her kids and grandchildren for several years.  For the past 40 years, her favorite hobbies were to enjoy time with her family and play bunco with all her close friends.  

Graveside interment will be reserved for family only and will be held on Saturday 10/23/21 at 11:00 AM.  Gail’s friends are invited to join the family at La Morenita Restaurant in Turlock at noon, where you can visit with the family, share your favorite stories, and toast her farewell.
