Patrick Dawson McSweeney of Hilmar, Ca. passed away on May 31, 2022 at the age of 69.  He was the son of Bette and Eugene McSweeney and brother to Terry, Gail and Mike McSweeney.  Patrick leaves behind many family members who loved him.  Patrick graduated from Hilmar High School in 1970 where he starred in basketball and baseball.  He also attended Modesto JC and played baseball.  Patrick worked in the paper, lumber, freight, consumer goods and agriculture industries.  He enjoyed reading the Bible and attending both the Catholic and Covenant churches in Hilmar.  A private service and luncheon will be held in Patrick’s memory and to honor the many caregivers and friends who helped him fight his long battle with bone cancer.  His last words were “I love you, God bless you.”
