Raymond Gonzales, 69, of Turlock, passed away at Emanuel Medical Center after a short illness. Raymond was born in Sacramento CA to Candelario and Casey Gonzales. He grew up in San Jose and attended schools in San Jose. Ray started working young in order to help support his family. He learned carpentry from his uncle and worked for 33 years as a home builder and 11 years in commercial construction. He loved working with wood and gardening, especially growing tomatoes. He married his life partner Paulette King in February 1990. They were active members of Illuminate Christian Center. Ray was a quiet man who loved people and loved to help others. He was well liked and well loved. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Raymond was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife Paulette Gonzales, mother Casey Garcia Gonzales, siblings: Pastor Richard (Juanita) Gonzales of Ballico, brother Larry Gonzales, 3 sisters Josie Samford , Vickie Calderon, and Elaine Orozco; two children: Jason (Judy) Entriken of Turlock and Leslie Brier of Turlock, and 3 grandchildren. Visitation will be on Thursday, Oct. 31st from 4 to 6 pm at Allen Mortuary. Funeral Service on Friday, Nov. 1st at 10 am at Allen Mortuary. Burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
