Roy Dean Berryhill, 47, of Ozark, Ala. passed away this month. He was born in Turlock and attended Turlock High School. He was a veteran and served in the United States Army. Roy was a loving man and he loved his children – whether they were his blood or his children through marriage, they were his. He was a well-respected man, and he was loved by all who knew him. He enjoyed bull riding and belonged to the C.C.P.R.A. and the P.B.A. Roy also enjoyed motocross, fishing, and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda Berryhill of Ozark, Ala.; daughters, Danielle Berryhill Sparks of Mariposa, and Lilly Danielle Berryhill and Shelby Mattlock, both of Ozark, Ala.; son, Dakota Overstreet of Ozark, Ala.; sisters, Deborah Berryhill Tungseth of Turlock and Becky Berryhill Smith of Union City, Tenn.; brothers, Michael Pogwizd of Merced and Timothy Pogwizd of Port Orford, Ore.; his mother, Frankie Little; and grandmother, Grace Garrett. Roy was preceded in death by his father, Donald Gene Berryhill.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28 at Allen Mortuary.
