Surjit Kaur, a resident of Turlock, passed away Thursday the 2nd of September at her residence. She was born March 16, 1922 in India to the late Partap Singh and Bishan Kaur. She settled in Turlock in 1986 and belonged to the Turlock Sikh Temple. She enjoyed gardening, and volunteering at the Temple.
She is survived by her loving husband. Piara Singh; children, Bhupinder Singh Sandhu, Ranjhir K. Mann, Rantirth Pal Hundal, Balvinder Kaur, and Zorawar Singh Sandhu; 13 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
A Sikh service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, Sept. 11 at Allen Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10 at Allen Mortuary.
