Tom Jackson, 71 of Ceres, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House.  He was born March 5, 1945 in Turlock and raised in Patterson. After graduating High School in 1963, he attended Modesto Junior College. In 1965, he joined the U.S. Coast Guard and married Barbara Riker in 1966.  After his honorable discharge, he worked for the City of Ceres as a Building and Grounds Superintendent for over 16 years.  He was a proud member of the Modesto Masonic Lodge #206.  He coached Pop Warner Football and Little League Baseball. He treasured the friendships he made during his time volunteering. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and was a member of Ducks Unlimited. Tom’s passion was his family and grandchildren.

Tom is preceded in death by his grandson, Andrew Jackson and father, Willie Calvin Jackson.  He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Jackson; son, Robert and Melinda Jackson; daughter, Tamron Honberger; grandchildren, Ryleigh Honberger, Eric Jackson, and Paityn Honberger; sister, Peggy and Michael Lenz; and mother, Billie Crisp.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 16, 2016, 10am at Allen Mortuary with inurnment to follow at Patterson Cemetery.
