Wanda Lou Threet ,age 73 of Modesto, passed away Tuesday April 24, 2012 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson CA from complications of Lymphoma.
Wanda was born 10-25-1938 in Stonewall, OK.
She married Billy Max Threet Sr. on May 26, 1957 in Turlock, CA and graduated from Turlock High School in 1957. Bill and Wanda started Bill Threet and Sons Construction in 1973 and built homes in Turlock for 20 years. Wanda loved her time she worked at Costco and the lifelong friends she met.
She enjoyed bowling and visiting casinos with her family and friends....not sure which she enjoyed the most. She loved a good skeet shoot outing with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Max Threet Sr., daughter Cynthia Ann Threet, parents R D and Susan Bertha Alice Griffin, brothers Herbert Ray Griffin, Columbus Utah "Top" Griffin and Eddie Griffin.
Wanda is survived by her children Jacqueline Henderson of Castro Valley, CA, Teresa Rushing of Cressey, CA, Billy Threet of Hilmar, CA, Shawn Threet of Valley Springs, CA. Grandchildren Ryan Threet, Ashlee Blaine, Ross Threet, Elton Rushing, Nathan Threet, Skylar Threet. Great Grandchild Addison Threet. Step Grandchildren Camille Van Lier, Devyn Van Lier, Marcus House, Breanna House, Tyler Smith. Step Great Grandchildren Skylee Blaine. Brothers Richard Griffin of Clovis, CA and Jimmie Griffin of San Jose, CA, Sister Reba Dolberry of Modesto, CA.
She held her grandkids secrets close to her heart and offered them her wisdom and guidance to follow their dreams.
A graveside service will be held on Friday April 27, 2012, 10:00 AM at Turlock Memorial Park 575 N. Soderquist Rd. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alexander Cohen Hospice House 7700 Fox Rd. Hughson, CA
