Zach Baker

Our son, Zach, chose to move on to another life after receiving life altering injuries in an automobile accident. If you didn’t know our Zach, I pray you have a Zach in your life. From the time Zach was born he spent his life loving it and everyone he came in contact with.

Zach loved sports and his build gave him an advantage and opportunities that not everyone has. He played baseball, 1st baseman, starting at 11 years old until he was 15. His sophomore year at Turlock High School he decided to concentrate on football. He had many opportunities from his football, but chose to stay home, not wanting to be away from his family and friends. After high school he worked for Pacific Tire and Wheel as a salesman and went to Modesto Junior College. In 2008 Zach went to work for Hilmar Cheese Co. and decided it was time to buy a home and move out on his own in May of 2010 at the age of 22.

Zach loved hunting camping and anything to do with being outside or in the hills. Zach’s greatest times were spent at the dunes or sand somewhere with hundreds of friends riding their quads and any other motorized toys they all have.

Love for his family and friends goes far beyond what could possibly be spoken. When he walked into a room, you felt it. When he wasn’t there everyone wanted to know where he was and why he wasn’t there.

Zach has many aunts and uncles that he loves with all his heart and never missed an opportunity to be with them. His friends were constant and he shared his family with them. Probably the most important and most loved person in Zach’s life is his little brother, Ethan. Zach and Ethan are best friends and share a bond that this will never sever. Zach and Ethan had plans and share dreams together.

Most recently Zach had met the love of his life, Becca, it was immediate and everyone knew it, most of all Zach and Becca. Becca will always be a gift that Zachary gave us. Zach will be missed by his Mom and Dad, but there are no words to describe how much. He is our best friend.

Zach is survived by his parents, Wendel & Carrie Baker, his brother Ethan Baker, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8pm on Monday, July 11, at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock. A "Celebration of Zach’s Life" will be held at 11:00am Tuesday July 12th also at Turlock Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park
