Another look at who the big box store will hurt

The big box super market issue of Turlock is not just about traffic patterns.

I remember a neighbor of mine who was mentally challenged.  She was single, could not drive, and depended upon a small market, within easy walking distance, for groceries.  Likewise, some of the elderly live in their own homes, cannot drive, and would have difficulty getting groceries if their local food market were driven out of business in favor of a big box store several miles away.

In the rush to help friends make money, sometimes we overlook the people who lack influence.  I hope Turlock citizens will keep in mind those who stand to lose by what the world calls progress.
