Macedo's leadership is a benefit to TID

Ron Macedo has been an outstanding Director for District 5 of the Turlock Irrigation District. We have known Ron for years. He has been on the California Board of Directors for the Farm Bureau. While on the board, he served on the Commodity Water Natural Resources. Also, he served on the Predator, Pest, and Pesticide, Energy and Utility Service and Food and Use committees.

As a TID director, he has worked to protect TID water rights on the Tuolumne River, and made sure all farmers have adequate and reliable sources of water. Also, he would retain our water rights and keep our water power costs as low as possible. He opposes the practice of selling water elsewhere.

Ron would explore clean and renewable sources of energy such as wind and solar power, and support efforts to restore salmon on the Tuolumne River. Ron has been an active TID director.

The employees and rate payers have benefited from his leadership and dedication.
