Turlock rolled to a 2-0 victory, despite a lackluster performance on a cold, wet night at Joe Debely Stadium on Monday.

Kayla Gilkison got Turlock off to a hot start when she knocked a Natalie Larson dish off the underside of the crossbar and into the back of the net just 47 seconds into the match.

Turlock dominated play throughout with a 15-1 shot advantage, but didn’t create many scoring chances.

Turlock continued to control possession, but was unable to score in the final third of the field.

Finally, the constant pressure paid off in the 76th minute when Kiana Mavis got free on the right flank and sent a cross in that Falcon keeper Valeria Perez mishandled and consequently, Natalie Larson was in perfect position to pounce on the loose ball and poked it into the empty net for the clincher.

Turlock’s defense again was rock solid with their 3rd straight clean sheet as keepers Ashlen Kuntz and Vanessa Campos were not called upon to make a save.  Turlock now has 6 shutouts in 7 games.

Turlock will travel to play at Golden Valley High today with a starting time of 4 p.m.
