Most people are much more accustomed to seeing Tim Flannery on a baseball field than a stage, but he’s equally at home in both venues.

Flannery, or Flan as he’s come to be known, has spent more than 30 years in Major League Baseball and was part of three World Series championships with the San Francisco Giants. But he also has a passion for music and is now taking the opportunity to share it with audiences all over.

Flannery has recorded 11 albums and for the past 15 years has been playing gigs in the off-season, or 'music season,' with as much gusto as wind milling the player around third to score.

As a talented and prolific singer and songwriter, Flannery’s music enjoys radio support across the planet, from the shores of Ireland to beach towns up and down the California coast. Routinely supported by his all-star band, The Lunatic Fringe, Flannery has also been joined onstage by the likes of Jackson Browne, Bruce Hornsby, Garth Brooks and Jimmy Buffet.

Flannery and the Lunatic Fringe will be performing at the Turlock Community Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Tickets range from $26 to $36 at are available by calling 668-1169 or online at www.turlocktheatre.org.
