Kubecca, the duo of Broadway musical vocalist Rebecca Lowe and multi-instrumentalist Kuba Kawnik will be performing in Turlock as part of the Turlock Concert Association’s series.

The duo will be performing at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Turlock Community Theatre.

Kawnik, originally from Poland, began his musical career at the age of four. Although he is best known for his performance on vibraphone, he has also mastered some unusual and difficult instruments, including the Theremin - a rare and complex contemporary invention accessible to but a very few virtuosos worldwide.

Rebecca Lowe is best known for her roles in the musicals “Evita” and “Jekyll & Hyde.” Booked right out of college, and as the youngest actress to perform the role of Eva Peron in “Evita,” she received standing ovations and critical acclaim throughout North America and Europe.

Kubecca combines the classical and jazz education of both artists for a program that features country, jazz and showtunes arranged for unique instrumentation including the marimba, kalimba, flute and theremin.
