A Modesto woman suffered a broken leg from a two vehicle collision Friday in Turlock.
The accident occurred just before 8 a.m. in the area of N. Golden State Boulevard and Taylor Road.
The names of the people involved in the wreck were not released.
Turlock Police Lt. Jeff Lopes said a Lincoln Navigator was traveling eastbound on Taylor, when the 37-year-old male driver allowed the vehicle to drift into oncoming traffic.
Coming westbound on Taylor was a Ford Expedition, driven by a 31-year-old Denair man. Both drivers tried to swerve out of each other’s path, but ended up colliding.
Both drivers had complaints of pain and the 32-year-old female passenger in the Navigator suffered a broken leg, Lopes said. She was taken by helicopter to a hospital for treatment.
The Turlock Police Department is investigating the possibility that the 37-year-old man driving the Lincoln was under the influence, Lopes said.
