The Turlock Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one man wounded from a BB on Sunday night.

Around midnight Sunday the police department was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Walnut Road for a report of a shooting, said Turlock Police spokesperson Officer Steve Rodrigues.

The male victim was found at the Carl’s Jr. fast food restaurant at W. Main and N. Walnut.

The victim said he had been standing near the drive through lane when he heard two shots and then suddenly felt a sting to his head. A BB had struck the man on the left side of his head, causing some bleeding, Rodrigues said.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with a non-life threatening injury.

One BB was recovered at the scene near where the victim had been standing.

There is no information available on a suspect and the investigation is ongoing.
