Bomb scare leads to arrest
TPD crime scene pic2

The threat of a bomb left at a Turlock Walmart may have been phony but the arrest of the suspect who made the threat was real.

Around 11 a.m. Thursday the Turlock Police Department received a call from a man claiming to have left a bomb at the Walmart at 2111 Fulkerth Road.

The store was evacuated as a precaution and a search was made inside the building. No bomb was found and it was determined the call was a hoax.

The police department was able to trace the call back to Benjamin Enriquez, 45, of Turlock. He was booked into jail on charges of making criminal threats.
