The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department continues their investigation into a shooting on the outskirts of Turlock that claimed the life of one man.

As of Monday afternoon, the victim in the fatal shooting had not been identified, said sheriff spokesman Sgt. Anthony Bejaran.

Around 8:35 p.m. the sheriff's department responded to a 911 call reporting a person had been shot in the 100 block of Simmons Road in Turlock.

The first deputies to arrive found a man in the driveway with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives processed the scene for evidence and interviewed witnesses. At this time, there is no suspect information.
