A 21-year-old Turlock man was arrested Friday after he led Ceres Police on a high-speed chase on rural roads, finally pulling into a Turlock driveway.
Cesar Adrian Ayalasoltero had arrest warrants for reckless driving, one issued by Modesto Police and the other by Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department. He was booked along with a new charge of felony evading of a police officer and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
The pursuit started at 11:09 p.m. when Ceres Officer Matthew Johnson was monitoring traffic on Service Road near Morgan Road and saw a white Ford Mustang speeding eastbound on Service. Officer Johnson pursued the driver who accelerated and made a southbound turn onto Central Avenue and turned off his headlights. Officer Johnson activated his emergency lights and siren to conduct a traffic stop but the driver continued in his attempt to get away.
The Stanislaus County Sheriff Department’s Air Support joined the pursuit and tracked the Mustang until it pulled into the driveway to a residence off Faith Home Road in Turlock. Officers quickly arrived at the residence and took Ayalasoltero into custody.
