A Turlock man is under arrest for sexual misconduct after allegedly trying to get nude photos of minors on Instagram.

Mohamad Saber, 18, of Turlock was taken into custody on Wednesday on suspicion of communicating with a minor for the purposes of sexual misconduct, said Turlock Police spokesperson Sgt. Russell Holeman.

On Tuesday, the Turlock Police Department was notified by an allied agency that Saber was using Instagram to contact female minors and urge them to send nude photographs of themselves. The Investigation determined Saber was wanting to meet with the minors to engage in sexual misconduct.

Saber arranged to meet with one minor in Turlock for the purpose of engaging in sexual misconduct, Holeman said. Detectives showed up at the meeting location and took Saber into custody.

Detectives believe there may be other minor victims Saber requested photographs from or requested meetings with and are asking for anyone that may have communicated with Saber on Instagram to contact Detective Redd at 664-7325.
