A drive-by shooting occurred in the area of Chestnut Street Friday, though no injuries were reported.

The shooting was reported shortly before 1 a.m. Friday in the 1000 block of Chestnut Street.

Residents told Turlock Police officers two vehicles were involved in the shooting. According to their statements, a silver vehicle, similar to a Honda, fired a shot at an individual in a stopped pickup truck, said Turlock Police Sgt. Victor Barcelos.

The truck sped away from the area, headed southbound on Soderquist Road, with the car following behind.

Two more gunshots were heard after the vehicles drove off, Barcelos said.
