The Turlock Police Department is searching for an armed car thief who was interrupted in his theft Friday night. The police department was notified of the attempted theft Friday evening. The suspect was trying to steal a vehicle in the 100 block of S. Walnut Road, when the owner of the vehicle and another individual came out to the parking lot and confronted the would-be thief.
