A Turlock woman was arrested on suspicion of robbery after she tried to bite a loss prevention agent when she was caught stealing clothes.

The suspect was identified by the Turlock Police Department as Laporsha Souza, 22.

The incident was reported at 3:41 p.m. Monday at the Target store at 3000 Countryside Drive.

The loss prevention agent spied Souza hiding clothes and confronted her when she left the store without paying for the merchandise, according to the police report.

Souza struggled and tried to sink her teeth into the loss prevention agent. The bite attempt did not work and Souza was detained at the scene until police arrived and took her into custody.
