The Turlock Police Department is searching for three teenagers who caused significant damage at The Vista apartment complex when they doused an area with the complex’s fire extinguishers.

The vandalism occurred around 3:30 a.m. Sept. 21 at the complex at 900 West Monte Vista Ave.

The three juvenile suspects sprayed four fire extinguishers in the building and then set off the fire alarm, which prompted a response from the Turlock Fire Department. The damage was estimated at more than $1,000, said Turlock Police spokesman Sgt. Russ Holeman.

The building does require a key card to access, but Holeman said it’s not uncommon for residents to let others in or people slip in when a door is opened.

The suspects are believed to not be residents of the complex. The suspects were caught on video surveillance and the police department is using it in the investigation, but it has not been released to the public.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Turlock Police Department at 668-5550.
