A Turlock man who drives for Lyft was sentenced to 18 months in jail for exposing himself to minor girls.

Tajh Deshon Collins, 29, had entered a no contest plea on Oct. 29 in San Mateo County Superior Court to three misdemeanor charges of committing a lewd act with a child. Collins was sentenced on Dec. 11 to one year and six months in jail. He was credited with 325 days for time served, according to the San Mateo Daily Journal.

The first incident happened on March 22 in Daly City when Collins allegedly exposed his genitals to a teenager and asked if she wanted to touch him. On May 2, Collins allegedly accosted the same teenager and exposed himself again. On this occasion she reported the incident to the police department.

Collins also exposed himself to two girls, ages 11 and 12 years, on May 5. The incident was captured on a resident’s doorbell camera.

A sketch of the suspect and video surveillance of his vehicle were released on May 29 and on June 7 a San Mateo County Sheriff’s deputy spotted a suspect that matched the sketch and a vehicle similar to the one seen in the video surveillance. The deputy passed along the license plate number to sheriff’s department detectives. Three vehicles were associated with Collins, which he used for his job as a Lyft driver.

All of the victims picked Collin’s photo out of a line-up.
