City seeks public input on mobility survey
West Canal Drive
The City of Turlock is seeking input on the accessibility and ease of walking and biking along West Canal Drive (KRISTINA HACKER/The Journal).

The City of Turlock is exploring ways to make it safer and easier for people to walk and bike along West Canal Drive, Tully Road and Soderquist Road.
The city is asking residents to take a short survey and share their thoughts about these areas. The feedback will help city staff better understand community needs and support future improvements, such as new bike lanes and filling gaps in sidewalks.

The roads pertaining to the survey are located west of Golden State Boulevard, but east of Highway 99. Osborn Two-Way Immersion Academy and Summerfaire Park on Soderquist Road and the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds and Turlock Sports Park, which border both West Canal Drive and Soderquist Road, are destinations along the roadways in the survey where residents from around town and out-of-town visitors may travel.
The survey is open to all residents, and responses are anonymous.
“Thank you for helping improve safety and mobility for our community,” the city posted on its social media sites.
