Community health fair set for Sunday
N1704P69015C

The Assyrian Wellness Collaborative is partnering with Stanislaus County to present the Community Health and Wellness Fair on Sunday.

This is the first time the collaborative has partnered with the county, said Janet Atanous, one of the event’s organizers. The partnership has made it possible for the event to host more than 50 different vendors with specialties that include medical and dental providers, chiropractors, vision and behavioral health clinicians, as well as yoga instructors, career schools and insurance representatives.

“It’s an awesome event that focuses on the complete life balance,” Atanous said.

The event will have people fluent in East Indian, Assyrian, Farsi and Spanish.

“We want to reach as much of our community as possible,” Atanous said.

Donations will also be accepted for those impacted by the wildfires raging in California.

The Community Health and Wellness Fair will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at 2618 N. Golden State Blvd. Admission to the event is free and refreshments will be available.
