The Merced County Spring Fair is offering free admission for children ages 12 and under through a new partnership with Valley Children’s Healthcare.
“Valley Children’s is honored to collaborate with Merced County to expand access to the Fair, giving local families more opportunities to come together, celebrate Merced County and enjoy healthy outdoor activities,” said Lynne Ashbeck, Valley Children’s chief community impact officer. “It also reflects a shared commitment to supporting youth, strengthening families, and investing in the well-being of our community.”
“This partnership is a great example of what can happen when organizations come together with a shared purpose,” said Supervisor Scott Silveira, whose District 5 includes the Spring Fair. “By making the Fair admission-free for children, it’s now easier for families across Merced County to experience the Spring Fair, create lasting memories, and enjoy everything our community has to offer. I’d like to give a big ‘thank you’ to Valley Children’s Healthcare for making this possible through their generosity.”
“The Spring Fair is a longstanding tradition that brings our community together,” said County Executive Officer Mark Hendrickson. “We’re grateful to Valley Children’s Healthcare for helping expand access to this event and ensuring more families can participate in a fun, welcoming, and active environment.”
“This generous support from Valley Children’s Healthcare will help ensure that more kids in our community have the chance to experience the joy of the Fair,” said Spring Fair Manager Cinnamon Howell. “From carnival rides to exhibits and hands-on activities, this partnership is all about putting smiles on more kids’ faces.”
Scheduled for April 29 through May 3 at the Los Banos Fairgrounds, the Merced County Spring Fair continues to serve as a signature annual event, offering entertainment, exhibits, food vendors, and opportunities to celebrate the region’s agricultural heritage and community spirit. This year’s theme is “Roots, Rides & Ribbons.”
