The City of Turlock Police and Fire departments hosted their annual Open House on Saturday, offering the community a closer look at the many services provided by the public safety agencies — and a free hotdog courtesy of the Turlock Associated Police Officers.

A recurring theme at the opening night of the 2025 Stanislaus County Fair in Turlock — the 107th edition of the annual event — was the heat. Sure, it's not 108 degrees like last year, but 102 on Friday afternoon wasn't too far off.
