Turlock shoppers can now add one more destination to their checklist of stores, as family footwear retailer Rack Room Shoes opened its doors on Thursday.

“We are eager to expand our presence in California by providing a shopper-friendly, convenient footwear destination for families in the Turlock area, as well as for those traveling along Route 99,” said Regional Manager Dan Lazar. “We expect residents to be impressed with all that Rack Room Shoes has to offer.”

Part of the 65,000 square-foot expansion to Monte Vista Crossings known as Monte Vista Crossings South, the new 6,000 square-foot store offers a wide selection of name brand shoes that are affordable for everyone according to Lazar.

“Our prices have a wide range to accommodate every budget,” he said. “Every family deserves a variety in prices and selection. I am confident that families will be able to find shoes they like in their price range.”

With over 20,000 pairs of shoes, Rack Room Shoes provides styles ranging from dress to athletic, as well as casual wear, boots and sandals. The store also offers a “Buy One Get One 50 Percent Off” promotion every day, and throughout the year also offers Buy One Get One Free on select items.

Lazar added that he believes Turlock is currently underserved by family shoe stores, making the city a perfect fit for Rack Room Shoes’ newest location.

“We look forward to serving the community and filling that void,” he said.

In addition to providing the area with a wide variety of affordable shoes, Rack Room Shoes also gives back to those who keep its doors open. Twice a year, the store takes shoe donations from the public and gives 100 percent of the pairs to local schools for children in need through their Shoes That Fit campaign.

Rack Room Shoes is located in Monte Vista Crossings, in between Forever 21 Red and rue 21. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
