Caltrans has construction and closures planned for the following areas this week:
• The northbound and southbound on and off-ramps on Highway 99 from Taylor Road to Hammett Road will alternately close from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. through Saturday.
• The center and right lanes and right shoulder on northbound and southbound Highway 99 from Taylor Road to the Stanislaus/San Joaquin County line will close from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. through Saturday.
• Crews will also intermittently close northbound and southbound off-ramps from SR-99 to SR-219/Kiernan Avenue from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday.

Motorists should expect 30 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.
The City of Turlock reported N. Johnson Road between E. Canal Drive and Tokay Avenue will be closed to through traffic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Thursday. Access to the shopping center will be allowed from the north side. Detours will be provided.

A recurring theme at the opening night of the 2025 Stanislaus County Fair in Turlock — the 107th edition of the annual event — was the heat. Sure, it's not 108 degrees like last year, but 102 on Friday afternoon wasn't too far off.
