History of Business: As 2013 comes to a finish, it’s time to start thinking about taxes. Since 1997, the firm of Wahl, Willemse & Wilson, LLP, has been providing quality accounting services while operating in downtown Turlock. With a focus on developing individual relationships with their clients, the partners and staff members of the firm have been providing financial and accounting services to the Turlock area for more than 30 years altogether.
Partners and Certified Public Accountants Gary Wahl, Michael Willemse, and Amy Wilson bring a myriad of experience to the Turlock community, sharing the belief that each and every client is unique and should be treated accordingly.
In 1976, Wahl received his license as a CPA and has since been working in the areas of income tax services, agriculture, estate planning and business consultation. As an active member of the Turlock Rotary Club and the Turlock Chamber of Commerce, Wahl has been dedicated to the revitalization of the downtown area. He is also currently associated with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of CPAs, the CSU Stanislaus Auxiliary and Business Services, and the Stanislaus County Estate Planning Council.
Willemse, who received his CPA license in 1991, received his bachelor of science degree in accounting from CSU Stanislaus before completing his masters in taxation at Golden Gate University in 1998.
With over 10 years of public accounting experience, Wilson received her CPA license in 2005 and joined as a partner with the firm in 2006. Aside from being a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, Wilson has also shown a dedication to her community having served as the treasurer of the Turlock Community Theatre and the Turlock Sunrise Rotary. She has also been involved with the Turlock Downtown Property Owners Association and the Legacy Circle of Emanuel Hospital.
The firm has been involved with the Turlock Education Foundation, the Turlock Noon Rotary, and several other local organizations. In 2000, the firm was honored by the Turlock Chamber of Commerce with the Small Business of the Year Award.
