Albert Navarette, Jr., 60 of Turlock, passed away at his home after a two-year illness. Albert was born in Fresno to Albert Sr. and Virginia Navarette. He attended schools in Visalia and graduated from Redwood High School. After high school Albert served in the U.S. Army for a short time. In 1975 he married the love of his life, Susan Amaro. They moved to Turlock shortly after they were married. Albert was a construction worker. He learned to work with concrete from his father. Together they built patios, sidewalks, and Albert became a career construction worker, specializing in concrete and stucco. Albert and Susan were active members of Holy Ground Ministry in Turlock. They taught the “Traditional Journey” 12 Step program together and Albert was active in the Cross Ministry (for motorcycle riders.)
Albert is survived by his wife, Susan, of Turlock; sons, Albert III (Julia) Navarette of Turlock, Bobby Navarette of Turlock and Joshua Navarette of Fresno; grandchildren, Angelo, Marisa, Michele and Adrienne Navarette; his mother, Virginia Bertoldo; and siblings, Barbara Navarette, Lanise Hernandez, Judy Nero, Anna Sheldon, Viola Navarette, Elizabeth Navarette, Dominique Navarette, Anna Navarette, Chris Navarette and John Velasco. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Sr.; and sisters, Linda Bermundez and Cynthia Casillas.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Monday, April 25 at Holy Ground Ministry, 305 Canal Dr., in Turlock and burial plans are pending at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella. Memorial contributions in Albert’s honor may be considered for The Cross Ministry.
