Anna Mae Jorgensen was born in Sanger, California on August 10, 1936 to Robert and Clara Stone. She moved to Turlock when she was 14. Her father Robert M. Stone managed Mercantile and her mother Clara worked at Youngdales for many years.   Anna Mae was in Job’s Daughters and was crowned “DeMolay Sweetheart” at the annual dance at 16 years of age where she danced the night away with her future husband, William A. Nutcher. He was the Master Counselor for DeMolay.  She graduated from Turlock High School in June 1954. They were married on September 4, 1954 at First Presbyterian Church in Turlock. Together they had three children. Anna Mae was a church school superintendent at FPC and PTA President at Cunningham School for many years. The family business was Nutcher Farm Equipment.   Anna Mae lost her husband of 19 years in a boating accident in December 1973.  Anna Mae met the second love of her life Earle M. Jorgensen Jr. They established their permanent home at Brooklake Ranch in Mariposa. They were both very active in community events and charities. Anna Mae served on the Mariposa Arts Council and they both hosted the Kids First Dinner for many years. They traveled extensively and had many unique experiences. Earle passed away in June 2011.

She expressed her love for Christ as she annually sponsored children in need.

We are especially thankful to her caregivers who worked lovingly with her for ten years. Anna Mae was a woman of deep faith who faced many medical challenges in her life.  Anna Mae was preceded in death by her husbands, and brother Robert M. Stone, Jr. She is survived by three children; son, Craig Nutcher of Turlock and two daughters;  Michelle and Chris Pedretti  of Merced, Sheri and Steve Cripe of Atwater, and sister Jayne Nascimento of Turlock. Anna Mae was a special Nana to eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Anna Mae’ s prayers were answered when she passed peacefully at home

surrounded by all her children.
