Arthur Eugene Gilstrap, 90, of Turlock died Jan. 4, 2011, at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock. Mr. Gilstrap was born August 1920, in Oklahoma, to the late John and Lula Gilstrap. He came to Marysville, Calif. at the age of 16 during the Depression. He was an operating engineer for 50 years. He settled in Turlock 10 years ago. He was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his two sons, John Gilstrap of Turlock and Gerald Gilstrap of Parker, Colo.; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and sister, Verna Story of Roseville. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Gilstrap. 

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 10 at Sierra View Cemetery, 4900 Olive Ave., in Marysville, Calif.
