Barbara was born in Turlock, CA and was a graduate of Turlock High
School. She was also a graduate of Modesto Jr. College, Stanford School
of Nursing and earned a public health credential from UC Berkeley. She
held various nursing positions in the bay area. When her husband, Jerry,
retired the two of them settled in Turlock. She was a person of many
interests but most particularly in her family, traveling and reading.

Barbara passed away at Emanuel Medical Center on Sunday, July 24, 2011
after a short illness. She is survived by her husband, Jerry McAtee; son
Scott (Jill) McAtee; daughter Kris (Pat) Davis; twin sister Beverly
Marchbanks; and brother Carlos (Evelyn) Marchbanks. She had seven
grandchildren: Stephanie (John) Acha, Cameron Davis, Jason McAtee,
Amanda McAtee, Jessica McAtee, Keely McAtee and Luc McAtee; niece
Charlotte Parga and two nephews Charles and Wayne Marchbanks. She was
preceded in death by her parents Wayne Marchbanks and Hazelle Marchbanks
Duncan.

A memorial service is planned at First Presbyterian Church, 2619
N Berkeley Ave. Turlock on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. A
reception will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, remembrances
may be made to your favorite charity. Arrangements are under the
auspices of Allen Mortuary.
