Delete - Merge UBryan Lee Mitzel, 54, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 25, 2011, at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock.
He was born October 1956 in North Dakota to Della and Albert Mitzel. The family settled in Turlock in 1961, and he graduated from Turlock High School in 1972. He worked for Youngdales Hardware before working for Proctor and Gamble in Modesto for 15 years. He transferred to the Ventura office for four years. He came back to Turlock and worked for Hilmar Cheese Company from 1996 to 2000. He owned BC Signs for the last six years.

Bryan was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and he enjoyed playing the drums and the guitar. He also enjoyed motorcycles.
He is survived by his daughter, Shelby Mitzel of Dover, Tenn.; his parents, Della and Albert Mitzel of Turlock; and his sister, Cindy Mitzel of Turlock. He was preceded in death by his brother, Doug Mitzel.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31 at Allen Mortuary with Pastor Joe Major officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his brother Doug at Turlock Memorial Park.
