Turlock

Cheryl was born in Turlock to Lucille and Homer Pantazopulos in 1958.
She was raised in Turlock, graduating from Turlock High School in 1976
and attending Nazareth Lutheran Church. She later moved to Hilmar where
she lived for many years while raising her three children. Cheryl worked
at Emanuel Medical Center for 38 years and was a member of Hilmar
Covenant Church. Family and friends were truly her greatest joy and
Cheryl took great pride in creating and keeping traditions with her
family. She is survived by her children Trenton Avilla and Travis
Atkinson, both of Turlock and Taylor Avilla of Hilmar; mother Lucille
Tacheira; siblings Brenda Ryan, Jamie Dusin and Stephanie Smith and many
nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her dad Homer and sister
Vickie Sisco. Funeral service will be at Hilmar Covenant Church on
Friday, July 15, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Turlock
Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the
Bill and Elsie Ahlem Cancer Endowment Fund 825 Delbon Ave Turlock, CA
