He was born in Faja Redonda, Sao Jorge, Azores and entered into rest with his family by his side in Hughson. He was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church of Turlock.

Oliveira, Jr. and his wife Laurie of Hughson, Daughter- Diane Medina and her husband Mario of Patterson, Companion- Fatima Silva of Gustine—Her Children- Albano Azevedo of Gustine, Mario Azevedo of Los Banos and Paulo Azevedo of San Jose. Brothers- Artur Oliveira and Joe Oliveira of Stevinson, Alan Oliveira and Manuel Oliveira of Hilmar, Sisters-Maria Matos of Turlock, Aurora Borba and Clarinda Madruga both of Hilmar, 6-Grandchildren- Kate Oliveira, Reese Oliveira, Anthony Oliveira and Chase Oliveira all of Hughson, Max Medina and Cole Medina both of Patterson.
