He was the sixth child of 10. He proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict in the 2nd Division of the 12th Regiment for the U.S. Army. Unfortunately, Daniel was injured during combat protecting his fellow soldier, causing his right arm to be amputated. In spite of this, he played the piano and trombone among other instruments. His greatest desire was to serve the Lord with his talents.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Eva Meza, and son, Sergio Meza, both of San Diego; daughter/niece, Patricia Meza Meintasis of Stockton; sister, Rebecca Meza Beltran of Bakersfield; brother, Ralph Higuera Meza of Turlock; sister, Lydia Meza Beltran of Turlock; and grandchildren, Timothy, Matthew and Seth Meintasis of Stockton.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 29 at the Apostolic Church of Turlock. Daniel will be laid to rest on Aug. 30 at the Patterson District Cemetery.
You will be greatly missed. May you rest in peace.
Services under the direction of Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Service of Turlock.
